A new debrief, separate from Round 1. Detailed FOLD 2 feedback will follow after our United Arrows meeting on 23 July; this debrief adds a Round 2 new-interpretation ask on DIM.
We received the second-round FOLD 2 sample based on the previous debrief. Thank you.
The purpose of this document is not to re-open the Round 1 debrief on the current FOLD 2 sample. Detailed FOLD 2 feedback will follow after our United Arrows meeting on 23 July.
The purpose of this document is to register a new interpretation ask on DIM. In Round 1 this additional interpretation ask did not register clearly on the IFF side, so we are re-issuing it here as a standalone Round 2 debrief with the original DIM scent brief attached.
Why we are asking for new samples before the 23rd
We are running out of time. To keep the launch order on track we need to place the first launch order by the end of July, which means the new interpretation samples need to be in motion in parallel with the Round 1 detailed feedback rather than after it.

Round 1: FOLD 2 · Round 2 new interpretation: DIM
FOLD 2 (feedback pending) DIM (new interpretation)
Detailed feedback on the FOLD 2 sample is targeted for after our United Arrows meeting on 23 July.
The detailed debrief on the current FOLD 2 sample will follow after our United Arrows meeting on 23 July, together with the reformulation direction.
Round 2 · New interpretation ask
DIM — first interpretation and samples, please.
We would like to bring Delphine onto DIM for a first interpretation and sample round, in parallel with the FOLD 2 feedback loop. A first interpretation on DIM before the end of July will let us close on direction cleanly.
Full creative freedom on execution; the original brief below is the reference we shared at the very start of the project.
Original scent brief · reference for this ask
DIM
A floral that has already become skin.
Atmosphere & scene
A warm, dimly lit fabric space — skin, linen, and a soft floral presence resting in still air. The floral feels closer to skin than to bloom: it is not the smell of a flower, it is the smell of the air around a flower that has been on the body for hours.
Figurative anchor · collective-memory hook
A linen sheet that has touched skin for hours; a single gardenia petal pressed inside a book.
The smell of one's own pillow after waking — warm cloth, faint skin, a barely-there floral that you only notice when you press your face into it.
Polysensory tags
Temperature body-warm (dim, indoor) · Pitch low, no highs · Color honey-warm white, ivory · Texture petal · linen · warm skin · Weight medium, close to body · Shape a wrapping curve, not a bloom
Construction
1 · Top — green floral airViolet leaf (transparent, diffused) · soft aldehyde (trace). Green signature across the line; more floral and softer than AIR; 'green, but already becoming skin'.
2 · Water break (flash layer)Aldehyde C11 (ultra trace) · hedione connection. A brief 'droplet' moment; clean cut before warmth; 'a drop falling from a petal'.
Thank you for the second round. Detailed FOLD 2 feedback will follow after our United Arrows meeting on 23 July; the DIM interpretation samples in parallel will let us keep the end-of-July order on track.
Best, Kelvin
